February, 2016--CANFIELD - A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, officiated by the Rev. Russell Libb for Martin J. Gross, 65, who passed away peacefully Saturday morning.

Martin was born April 8, 1950, in Youngstown, a son of David J. and Doris Marie Whitmore Gross.

He was a job coordinator for Roth Brothers and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Youngstown Local No. 33.

Martin loved to ride his motorcycle and was a member of the Star Motorcycle Club.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Mary Ann Powell, whom he married Aug. 8, 1992; his mother, Doris Marie of New Port Richey, Fla.; a son, Jason (Tracy) Gross of Canfield; a daughter, Michele Gross of Youngstown; a brother, Richard Gross of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Barbara Orosz of Boardman and Pamela Ticker of Rapid City, S.D.; and seven grandchildren.

Martin’s father preceded him.

 ''MARTY AND I WHERE IN EVERY CLASS TOGETHER AT WEST BLVD.  EVERY YEAR AT THE BEGINING OF SCHOOL WE WOULD SAY 'THEY DID IT AGAIN'.  REALLY LIKED MARTY AND I FEEL REAL BAD FOR HIS FAMILY.
