Obituary
David Brian West, 70, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020. He was born November 5, 1949 in Ohio to the late David Clasper West and Lois O’Glyn West. David honorably served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and earned the Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon. He retired as a manager from Food Lion.
The memorial service will be held Monday, October 12th at 4:00 pm at Northside Community Church, 621 N First Ave, Knightdale, NC 27545.
David is survived by his wife, Janet Gilk West; son, Jonathan West (Kelsey) of Louisburg; daughters: Jessica Starr (Ryan) of Wendell, Jackie West of Knightdale; grandchildren: Austin Starr, Cody Starr, Landon West; sisters: Kathy Reinger (Bill) of Wilmington, Brenda Chase of Arizona, Beverly Burrows (Mark) of Indiana.

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of Dave West. He attended our 46th and 50th class reunions and it was so great to reconnect with him. Dave was a very talented artist and a very kind, humble and caring man. Dave served our country with honor, even though it cost him his health. My prayers go out to you and your family, Dave.
